When does beer fermentation start?

The fermentation of the beer normally starts within the first couple of days. In the first phase you can physically see and hear it starting, before after a few days it doesn't ferment as aggressively. Even if you don't see any activity after five or six days, the yeast is still working to add character to the beer and clean up off-flavors.

Temperature during beer fermentation

The correct temperature during the fermentation of the beer depends on which beer you are brewing and which yeast strain you are using. You will find information about this on our website. The fermentation of the beer thrives best when the fermentation vessel is left in a dark place with a constant temperature.
