FERMENTIS SafAle™ S-33 Dry Yeast
FERMENTIS SafAle™ S-33 dry yeast is a Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast strain specifically developed for the production of Belgian beers. This yeast strain gives the beer a characteristic fruity aroma with notes of apple and pear, as well as a clean and fresh taste profile.
FERMENTIS SafAle™ S-33 dry yeast has a high fermentation efficiency and a fast fermentation rate, and can produce beers with an alcohol percentage of up to 9% ABV. This yeast strain is optimized for fermentation temperatures between 18-25°C, but ideally the temperature should be kept around 22°C to achieve optimal fermentation rate and flavor profile.
FERMENTIS SafAle™ S-33 dry yeast can be used to brew a variety of Belgian beer styles, including Belgian Blonde, Belgian Double, Belgian Triple, Belgian Strong Ale and other styles that have a fruity and estery flavor profile. This yeast strain gives the beer a fruity and complex flavor profile with a clean and fresh finish.
The dosage of FERMENTIS SafAle™ S-33 dry yeast depends on the type of beer and the desired alcohol percentage, but as a general guideline it is recommended to use between 50 and 80 grams of yeast per hectoliter of beer. The yeast should be hydrated before use by mixing it with a small amount of water at room temperature, and let it rest for 15-30 minutes before adding it to the beer mixture.
